We are seeking a Procurement Executive to support our production and trading operations by driving cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and strategic sourcing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing procurement strategies with the management, optimizing supply and cost efficiency performance.
Responsibilities:
Execute procurement strategies across strategic sourcing, price negotiation, supplier evaluation, and cost optimization for both production supplies and traded products.
Source, negotiate, and purchase materials from local and overseas vendors to ensure the best value and reliability.
Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and commercial requirements.
Provide guidance to internal teams and external partners on purchasing terms and conditions.
Manage day-to-day purchasing operations, including planning, issuing, and tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and shipments with the operations team.
Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues promptly with vendors to maintain smooth operations.
Assist in vendor performance reviews and FSSC annual audit preparations, ensuring compliance with company and certification requirements.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and responsiveness, ensuring adherence to company standards.
Support the implementation of internal procurement strategies to meet high delivery expectations and short lead times.
Ensure compliance with customs and tax regulations, including CJ applications for Schedule A item 57 & 38 (Sales Tax), with accurate documentation and filing.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Requirements:
Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of studies
Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in related procurement industry.
Proven work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Purchasing or similar role.
Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
Familiarity of supply chain procedures.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct basic cost analysis.
Outstanding negotiation skills.
Multi-lingual skills - ENG/BM/CN is added advantage
