Job summary

A leading cold storage company in Kuching is looking for a Procurement Specialist to assist in sourcing and planning produce. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Strong skills in cold chain management, data analysis, and negotiation are essential. Candidates must possess good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Aware of market changes and global factors affecting stock supplies.

Responsibilities

To assist in planning and sourcing of produce, dealing with suppliers & buyers; to analyze and monitor stock inventory; to perform budget forecast and planning to meet business demand and supply; to broaden network for sourcing potential quality product to fulfill company strategy; to evaluate supplier under guided procedures and compliant to HALAL requirement and ad-hoc duties related to position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/ Procurement Management / Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in the same or similar field. Salary RM3K and above depending on the qualification and experience.
• Possess good product knowledge.
• Strong skill in cold chain management and data analysis.
• Aware of market changes, global climate, phenomenon, pricing and other potential factors affecting stock supplies for local and international market.
• Great negotiation skill in performing procurement function.
• Able to work independently and an effective team player.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
