Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, source, and procure materials, equipment, and services according to project and construction requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms in price, quality, delivery, and payment.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure long‑term collaboration.
  • Prepare and issue accurate Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, warehouse, and accounts departments to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing data to identify cost‑saving and value‑improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ISO standards, and legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve issues related to defective goods, delivery delays, or supplier disputes.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up‑to‑date records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier databases.
  • Perform any other duties or ad hoc assignments as directed by the Project Manager or Head of Department (HOD).
Minimum Qualifications, Requirements, and Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in procurement systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and procurement best practices will be an added advantage.
