About the job
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for commodity food ingredients to ensure consistent, cost‑effective, and high‑quality supply.
  • Build and maintain long‑term partnerships with suppliers to optimise pricing, ensure supply continuity, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage end‑to‑end supplier performance, ensuring alignment with business targets in quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including R&D, production, finance, and quality assurance to align sourcing efforts with broader business goals and innovation initiatives.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of commodity price trends, supply risks, and shifts in consumer demand, supporting both cost control and product development.
  • Monitor procurement and supply chain KPIs, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement data‑driven improvement plans.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards.
  • Support cost modelling and costing analysis related to new and existing products, providing insights for budgeting and pricing strategies.
  • Play an active role in supplier audits, risk assessments, and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
Skills and experience required
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Solid track record in sourcing and managing commodity food ingredients.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills, with experience handling a diverse supplier base.
