Job summary

A leading procurement firm in Kedah, Malaysia, is seeking a candidate for a materials procurement role. The ideal applicant will possess a relevant degree and experience in procurement from construction or EPC sectors. Fluency in Chinese is preferred for handling documents and liaising with vendors. Responsibilities include purchasing materials for support teams, meeting operational requirements, and ensuring compliance with project strategies. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/A Level, diploma, or degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in materials procurement from construction or EPC contractors.
  • Ability to work alternately on weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase major materials and machinery rentals to support CSA and MEP team.
  • Meet with operational teams and deliver their buying requirements.
  • Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategy.
  • Support tender process for materials and plant packages.
  • Support account department in payment arrangement for suppliers or subcontractors.
  • Carry out assignments as required by management.

Skills

Job description

Candidate must possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.

Candidates with materials procurement experience from any construction, infrastructure, or EPC contractor encourage to apply.

Candidate fluent in Chinese (Verbal & Written) preferable due to the need handling Chinese language documents from HQ and liaising with vendor.

Candidate must be able to work alternative for weekends(Saturday).
