A construction company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a procurement assistant to manage supplier relations and procurement activities. Responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating materials and services, preparing requests for quotations and purchase orders, maintaining procurement records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the site. The ideal candidate will also perform basic administrative tasks and coordinate with project teams. This role is essential for efficient project execution.
Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for materials, equipment and services.
Prepare and process Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO).
Follow up with suppliers on quotations, deliveries and order status.
Maintain supplier database, price lists and procurement records.
Update material tracking reports and ensure timely delivery to site/office.
Verify DOs, quotations and invoices.
Coordinate with site or project teams regarding material requirements.
Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, documentation and correspondence.
