Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor process equipment including valves, pumps, and instruments.
  • Perform plant start‑up and shutdown activities as per schedule.
  • Conduct sampling of raw materials for testing.
  • Record instrument readings and report to supervisors.
  • Support maintenance and testing of repaired or newly installed equipment.
  • Participate in safety programmes and comply with regulations.
  • Implement 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and proactive Process Technician to support daily operations at the Port Dickson PME Plant. The role involves operating process equipment, performing sampling, maintaining safety standards, and supporting plant performance and reliability.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operate and monitor process equipment including valves, pumps, and instruments

  • Perform plant start‑up and shutdown activities as per schedule

  • Conduct sampling of raw materials, intermediate, and final products for testing

  • Record instrument readings (pressure, flow, level, temperature) and report to supervisors

  • Support maintenance and testing of repaired or newly installed equipment

  • Communicate effectively with DCS and Production Supervisors for smooth operations

  • Participate in safety programmes and comply with regulations (LPS, POIMS, ISO, ILC)

  • Perform routine housekeeping and implement 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Assist other departments and respond to emergencies as needed

  • Work independently or as part of a team on various operational tasks


Requirements


  • Minimum diploma qualification or equivalent professional certificate

  • At least 2 years of experience in a related production or plant operations role

  • Able to communicate in Malay and English

  • Basic calculation and reading skills

  • Familiarity with operating valves, pumps, and process instruments
