Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Port Klang is seeking a Process Engineering Senior Manager to design and implement systems that enhance productivity and process robustness. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and strong knowledge of quality management systems in the automotive industry, alongside excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive industry quality management system such as IATF16949 and ISO9001.
• Ability to interpret technical drawing and GDT is an advantage.
• Knowledge in 7 QC tools and problem-solving skills is an advantage.

Job description

Process Engineering Senior Manager / Manager

Design, develop and implement system to improve productivity, process robustness and optimizing the utilization of labor, machine and equipment from new product development phase until mass production.

Support on development and installation of new machineries/facilities introduced to the production.

Support and lead continual improvement and problem solving.

Handle new project development in line set-up, jig/fixture/tester fabrication, study and analysis of line layout, line capacity, process flow chart and part packaging, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and lesson learned establishment and review, support in new project Request For Quote (RFQ) study.

Requirement and Skills

A degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Industry) or related field.

Strong knowledge of automotive industry quality management system (IATF16949, ISO9001) and automotive core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA and FMEA).

Ability to interpret technical drawing and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is an advantage.

Knowledge in 7 QC tools, DMAIC and problem-solving skills (8D concept) is an advantage.

Strong communication skills: Presenting findings clearly and asking the right questions about projects and processes.

Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Ability to speak and write in Mandarin (to communicate with China clients and suppliers) is an advantage.
