Process Engineer/ Project Engineer (Plastic Injection Moulding)

We are representing our client a well‑established precision plastic injection moulding manufacturer based in Balakong, Selangor. With over 30 years of experience, the company serves the medical, healthcare, electronics, and industrial sectors. Certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 13485, it offers end‑to‑end solutions from mould design to cleanroom production and assembly, with a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.

Positions Available: Process Engineer/Senior Engineer

Working hours: 5 Working Days (Mon‑Fri, 8am‑5.30pm)

Responsibilities

• Ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 systems comply and are maintained at all times.
• Review daily production reports to assess production efficiency and performance.
• Carry out RCA & CAPA for defects and monitor implementation effectiveness.
• Maintain all secondary related machines and related documents, liaising with the Maintenance Dept & suppliers.
• Align with NP, QA team for new projects from a production point of view regarding machine, jig and process requirements.
• Prepare and review documents such as WI, SOP, Procedure and other relevant documents.
• Review KPI data of target vs. achievement and suggest necessary improvement actions.
• Continuously perform cycle time study, line balancing vs output achieved, layout, and continuous improvement at production floor.
• Ensure all audit replies and company 6S in SP dept are maintained and carried out.
• Conduct daily meetings with subordinates on production running and outstanding issues.
• Manage manpower requirement & arrangement with PC department with production schedule.
• Daily workforce monitoring and action (attendance, disciplinary, output).
• Identify & request all 4M needed to ensure all resources availability.
• Motivate staff to achieve quality and quantity targets.
• Attend/carry out training as assigned.
• Lead KAIZEN activities of SP dept implementation on a monthly basis.
• Daily Gemba at designated production area to oversee production difficulties and room for improvement.
• Lean representative for SP department when assigned for continuous improvement.
• Be part of the Lean automation team and carry out company‑wide lean automation.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum degree holder with relevant 1 year experience in manufacturing, preferably in secondary process & assembly line within the plastic injection moulding industry.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 13485.
• Familiar with secondary processes such as pad printing, silk screen, laser marking.

Additional Responsibilities (Project Engineer)

• Lead and coordinate overall new project development including new to modification new and existing tools from beginning until 1st mass production.
• Responsible for overall project planning, scheduling and coordinating the mold trial.
• Act as a contact window person with customer in technical and engineering matters.
• Prepare the New Part Information and BOM after part approved.
• Follow up engineering changes given by customer and monitor production run changes.
• Handle customer enquiries or complaints of new projects or tool modification.
• As Project Leader of the assigned new project.
• Ensure all new products have customer's approval before production.
• Ensure ISO documentation is followed and in order.
• Assist in project improvement plan and cost saving plan.
• Accountable for the successful process and hand‑over completion of projects.
• Ensure company 5S is in order.
• Perform other duties assigned by superior.
• Propose the project schedule and submit to customer.
• Act as an Overall Project Team Leader.
• Act as Department Head during absence of Manager.

Additional Requirements (Project Engineer)

• Minimum degree in engineering.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of relevant working experience as a Project Leader/Engineer in the plastic injection moulding or medical device industry.
• Preferably with internal audit training for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 13485.
