Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Lab Automation and Equipment Compliance specialist to lead process automation, digitalization, and optimizations across the Hardware Test Center.

You will own lab buyoff and intermediate checks, calibrations, and support audits while driving continuous improvement and ISO17025-aligned practices in a high-precision environment. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will expand capabilities and optimize test time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead process automation, digitalization and optimization across the department.
• Ensure compliance and conformance for overall equipment buyoff and intermediate checks in Product Safety, EMC, and Reliability/Environmental Testing.
• Own and manage the lab equipment buyoff and intermediate check methodology.
• Calibrate equipment and manage ambient control.
• Support 5S and best practices across the lab operations.
• Prepare for and participate in audits; collaborate with engineering on tests and alternative methods as needed.

Responsibilities

Primary Function

Lead process automation, digitalization and optimizaiton across department. Ensure compliance and conformance for overall equipment buyoff and intermediate checks in the areas of Product Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Reliability and Environmental Testing. To own and manage the overall lab equipment buy-off and intermediate check methodology.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Hardware Test Center’s:
• Process automation, digitalization, optimization.
• Equipment buyoff
• Equipment Intermediate Check
• Equipment calibration
• Ambient control
• Expansion and re-layout / consolidation activities
• 5S and good practices proliferation
• Enhance own technical skills and knowledge for Safety/EMC/Environmental areas to support the lab operations.
• Work on continuous improvement for lab operations in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure readiness of lab operating supplies and consumables for continuous lab operation.
• To guide the overall team in equipment buyoff and intermediate check methodologies.
• Ensure the readiness of the lab for any applicable audits.
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure close collaboration on equipment tests and alternative test methods when necessary.
• Work on assigned projects when required.
• Scheduled equipment calibration & Out of Tolerance finding ownership.
• Well-versed on the ISO17025 requirements as guidance to ensure lab compliance
• Continuous operation output improvement – test time study to improve turnaround time.
• Classification on shipment.
