Job description
Job Purpose:
  • Analyze and improve production processes to boost throughput, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and automation issues.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to production speed, material usage, and energy consumption.
  • Support commissioning and validation of new automation technologies or process changes.
  • Ensure all process modifications comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Conduct trial run of new material / new process condition. Prepare trial report to communicate with regional team.
  • Lead automation-related improvement projects, including sensor upgrades, control logic enhancements, and system integration.
  • Work closely with central engineering teams in India, China, and Europe to share insights, align on standards, and implement global process improvements.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers and controls specialists to optimize PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for better line performance.
  • Support Quality related FI, QK and EWO.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in high-speed manufacturing or building materials.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑cultural collaboration skills.
Specific Work Experience:
  • Experience in high-speed process line or similar continuous manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of automation platforms (e.g., Siemens).
  • Understanding of energy management systems and sustainability practices.
  • Possess drive to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach.
  • Skill required for trouble‑shooting board and mill process.
  • Process control system.
