The successful candidate will work under minimal supervision on the development of robust, capable, cost-effective, and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and products. They will support the efficient transfer of new products and processes into commercial production. This position requires extensive knowledge and a high degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate extensive technical expertise (SME) on product/process technologies to develop solutions for design improvement, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external networks to assist engineering teams in the selection, design, and development of new products, processes, equipment, tooling, and materials.
  • Lead experimentation and testing to characterize, optimize, and troubleshoot processes and equipment; analyze results and communicate findings to the technical community.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new processes, equipment, and materials, including installation, calibration, EHS assessment, debugging, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement activities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to develop efficient, cost-effective equipment and processes.
  • Assist in validation builds, coordinate testing, and report validation results.
  • Travel to other sites or vendors for technology development and transfer activities.
  • Train and coach peers and production staff on new processes and technical aspects.
  • Provide floor support for new product builds, troubleshooting equipment and manufacturing issues.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Equipment troubleshooting, problem solving, process improvement, Lean Six Sigma.
  • Languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English.
