(EPCC Contractor for Biogas, Water Treatment, Odour Control & Environmental Engineering)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Process Design Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This role plays a critical part in the design, development, and execution of our biogas, water treatment, and industrial odour control projects.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer with strong process knowledge, able to lead design work, coach junior engineers, and ensure high‑quality technical deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
1. Process & Mechanical Design
  • Develop, review, and optimise P&ID, process flow diagrams, and system architecture.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations including:
  • Pump/blower sizing
  • Pipe sizing & hydraulics
  • Tank/pressure vessel capacity
  • Biogas flow & treatment calculations
  • Mass & energy balance
  • Prepare process design basis, heat & material balance, and equipment data sheets.
2. Engineering Documentation
  • Prepare and review:
  • Technical specifications
  • Design reports
  • Equipment lists
  • BOQ and material take‑off
  • Data sheets & calculation sheets
  • Develop and verify method statements, ITPs, PQP, O&M manuals.
3. Project Execution Support
  • Provide technical support to project managers, site engineers, and commissioning teams.
  • Resolve design issues and support site installation and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and fabricators to ensure compliance with design requirements.
4. Drawing & Drafting Coordination
  • Lead draftsmen in preparing GA drawings, layout plans, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings before release for construction (IFC).
5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
  • Present design concepts, calculations, and system performance expectations.
  • Support proposal and tender submissions with technical inputs.
6. Continuous Improvement
  • Optimise process performance for efficiency, cost reduction, and system reliability.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in design methodology, documentation, and project workflow.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in process design and engineering fundamentals.
Added Advantage (but not mandatory)
  • Experience in:
  • Biogas systems (scrubber, flare, blower, digester, carbon filter)
  • Water/Wastewater systems (DAF, MBBR, RO, UF, EOx)
  • Odour control (FRP scrubbers, chemical scrubbers, biofilters)
  • Familiarity with fabrication drawings, HDPE/FRP/SS piping systems
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (ASME, ISO, DOE/DOE guidelines, MS standards)
Qualifications & Requirements

Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Process Engineering at least 3 years experience in EPC/EPCM, industrial utilities, water treatment, wastewater, biogas, oil & gas, or chemical process engineering

Strong competency in:

Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering work
