A leading engineering consulting firm in Selangor, Malaysia is searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to manage Data Centre projects. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering and be Chartered, with 5-7 years of consulting experience, including leadership roles. Qualifications

Job description

Bachelor’s /Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognised institution

Be a Chartered mechanical Engineer/ Professional engineers with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) issues by Board of Engineers, Malaysia

Possess extensive experience of working within a consulting environment

Have experience of major and complex Data Centre projects with Uptime Institute Tier Certification for Design Documentation (TCDD) & Constructed Facility (TCCD)

Have a sound understanding of project management, risk assessment process and other international standards

Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in M&E consulting firm, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role (e.g., Principal Engineer, Team Lead, or HOD).

Strong design background in HVAC, fire protection, cold water & sanitary plumbing, and mechanical systems design for buildings.

Experience in local Malaysian projects, familiarity with local authority submissions.

Proven track record in managing teams, project delivery, and client/ stakeholder coordination.

Competency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP (BIM) and CFD simulation software are pluses. Knowledge of MS Project/ Primavera project scheduling.
