Job summary

PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia) seeks a senior Infrastructure Architect to own the future-state architecture behind Malaysia’s national payment rails. You will design highly available virtualization platforms and lead multi-year migrations of core services with minimal disruption.

You will build automation, drive observability, and partner across security, network, and development teams to ensure uptime, security, and scalable performance for DuitNow, FPX, JomPAY, and MyDebit.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Linux/Windows production experience.
• Ability to design and deploy highly available virtualization platforms from the ground up.
• Experience automating infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Practical experience with enterprise platforms such as AD, DNS, LDAP, Jenkins, Terraform, and monitoring stacks.

• Practical experience with enterprise platforms such as Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, Jenkins, Terraform, and monitoring tools.

Helpful

• Certifications such as RHCE or LPIC demonstrating advanced Linux expertise.
• Experience in financial services or telecommunications with strict uptime and security requirements.
• Exposure to AWS or GCP, particularly in hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD, monitoring, and logging stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Experience supporting enterprise application and web platforms (e.g., Nginx, HAProxy, JBoss, WebLogic).
