St Ignatius Catholic School in George Town, Cayman Islands, invites a fully qualified Primary Teacher for Key Stage 2 to join a high-achieving, multi-national team delivering the English National Curriculum from Nursery to Year 13.

The successful candidate will bring a commitment to holistic education, safeguarding, and outstanding classroom practice, with at least three years of primary teaching and a PGCE/QTS. Salary ranges CI$55,000–CI$67,500 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in a related area plus PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• At least three years of primary teaching experience.
• Strong commitment to high standards and varied teaching approaches.
• Proficient in using modern educational IT systems.
• Excellence in classroom practice in the subject area, preferably externally verified.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral, academic and behavioural support to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and use formal assessments.
• Support parents with referrals to external agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and students on IEPs.
• Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
• Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities.

Position Overview: We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join our motivated and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to the holistic education of children and will be an excellent team player committed to the ethos, values and aims of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A recognised degree in a related area from an accredited university, and a PGCE, QTS or other internationally recognised teaching qualification.
• At least three years of teaching experience in a primary school.
• A strong commitment to high standards and a variety of approaches to teaching and learning and evidence of further relevant professional development.
• Be proficient in using modern educational information technology systems.
• Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice in the subject, preferably externally verified.
