A logistics company is seeking an experienced professional to conduct inquiries, manage customer bookings, and analyze cost-effective solutions for shipments. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams and monitoring KPIs. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Conduct inquiries and manage bookings from customers, sales teams, and overseas agents.
Follow up with overseas offices, sales teams, and customers to obtain approval and feedback on quotations.
Analyze and identify the most cost-effective and alternative solutions for inquiries and shipments.
Prepare complete costing on the quotation system based on shipment terms.
Communicate and seek approval from the sales team, Head of Department (HOD), and General Manager regarding costing and margins.
Send final quotations to customers and agents.
Coordinate effectively within the team and maintain self-motivation among logistics experts.
Establish and maintain close cooperation with local and overseas colleagues, vendors, and partners.
Support negotiations of costs for sales and customer service when necessary or requested.
Transfer secured shipment details to customer service personnel, ensuring accurate and timely shipment arrangements.
Monitor and report on monthly progress towards assigned goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with inter-department teams (marketing, sales, airfreight, and customer service) to improve company sales and increase strike rates.
Working together with team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.
Handle additional duties as assigned by the Superior, demonstrating flexibility and leadership.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, ideally in Logistics/Transportation, Business Studies, or a relevant field.
At least 2 years of working experience in logistics (freight forwarding).
Experience in data analysis with knowledge of SQL and Power BI & INCOTERM.
Experience in OOG / Project management.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability in data analysis, careful calculation, and attention to details.
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work and think independently while being part of a team.
Fluent in both spoken and written English & Malay.
Proficient in all commonly used office software, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to work under pressure and overtime to meet deadlines.
Monday - Friday (On-Site) = (9 Hours) 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
