Job summary

Kemikon Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks a skilled welder to weld steel parts per process sheet, fabrication drawing and work instructions.

You will operate and adjust welding machines, monitor power, gas pressure and feed speed to suit material thickness while maintaining quality. The ideal candidate holds a Welding certificate/diploma with at least 3 years fabrication welding experience, can read welding symbols and drawings, read measuring tape and caliper, and contribute to 5S housekeeping and

Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Welding with at least 3 years in fabrication welding.
Ability to interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings and process sheet.
Ability to read and understand measuring tape and caliper.
Welding range from simple to complicated structures.
Ability to rework, modify or fabricate parts.
Ability to perform basic mathematics and compute measurements.
Ability to meet tight production deadlines.

Responsibilities

Weld steel parts using welding equipment as specified by process sheet, fabrication technical drawing and work instructions.
Operate and adjust welding machines (power, gas pressure and feed speed) according to material thickness.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Maintain 5S housekeeping in the workplace.
Participate in process and product development and improvement plans.
