Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections on materials, components, and finished goods. You will use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators and document all data in quality records.

You will identify non-conforming items, raise CARs, and help investigate root causes to support CAPAs. Collaboration with production and engineering is essential to ensure quality standards are understood and applied across the site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a technical field preferred.
• At least 3 years in quality control/quality assurance in manufacturing.
• Proficient with measurement tools and equipment.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and quality tools (5S, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
• Aerospace/sheet metal/machining experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
• Conduct tests using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results and test data accurately in quality records and systems.
• Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products and initiate CARs.
• Assist in investigation of root causes for quality issues and contribute to CAPAs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to ensure quality requirements are understood and applied.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection and test equipment per schedules and procedures.
