Job summary

The role requires collaboration with Test and Quality Engineers, maintaining a failure log, and ensuring a safe, organized ESD environment on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot PCBAs at component level and interpret schematics.
• Familiarity with IPC standards for soldering and repair.
• Good documentation and communication with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot defective PCBAs and test failures on the production line.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and docs to isolate root causes.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers to trace signals.
• Perform precise manual soldering and component replacement, including SMT.
• Maintain and update the failure logging system with defect data and repair actions.
• Collaborate with Test and QA Engineers to improve yield and address defects.
• Work with reference units to determine if failures are in product or test fixture.
• Provide technical support to operators to address spikes in fallout or test failures.
• Maintain a clean, safe ESD environment per company guidelines.
