Job summary

AStar Management Services is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia. The role focuses on setting up and operating plastic injection moulding machines, optimizing parameters, and ensuring product quality across shifts.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Certificate in mechanical manufacturing fields and 2–5 years of related experience, with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding.
• Knowledge of injection moulding machines and processing parameters.
• Able to perform mould changes and machine setup independently.
• Familiar with plastic materials, tooling, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start up injection moulding machines according to production schedules.
• Perform mould installation, removal, and machine parameter adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and optimize processing parameters.
• Troubleshoot machine, mould, and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and basic machine servicing.
• Ensure product quality complies with specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and 5S practices.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and reduce scrap.
