Responsibilities

• Perform precision grinding of steel and alloy parts for crane spreader mechanisms.
• Conduct surface grinding of flat parts to ensure even mating surfaces in spreaders.
• Grind rotating pins, shafts, and bushings used in lifting equipment.
• Hold micron-level tolerances for structural and mechanical fitment.
• Perform profile and form grinding for custom sliding or guiding parts.
• Carry out precision grinding of locking systems and cam components.
• Finish laser‑cut or machined parts for smooth operation.
• Ensure consistent surface finish to reduce wear in moving parts.
• Identify and solve chatter marks or surface burn during heavy grinding.
• Handle tool steel, alloy steel, and heat‑treated components without compromising hardness.
• Conduct dry grinding on non‑lubricated materials prone to corrosion.
• Maintain grinding logs showing part ID, tolerance, machine used, and operator.
• Ensure thermal control during long grinding cycles to prevent warping.
• Prepare test pieces for QA grinding trials.
• Customize wheel dressing patterns for unique part profiles.
• Conduct intermediate inspection during long‑run grinding jobs.
• Calibrate grinder feed rate and depth per material and hardness.
• Grind safety‑critical interfaces between steel frames and hydraulic parts.
