At BJAK, we’re building Southeast Asia’s leading digital insurance platform - and our growth depends on strategic, consistent, and impactful communication.

PR & Communications Lead is responsible for defining and protecting Bjak's corporate narrative across all external and internal channels. This highly visible role ensures all messaging - from media relations and corporate social responsibility (CSR) to employee communications - is strategically aligned, consistent, and effective in fostering a positive reputation among customers, stakeholders, and the media.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee the comprehensive messaging strategy for Bjak across all public-facing and internal channels, shaping how the organization communicates with customers, media, investors, and employees.
  • Lead external media relations by managing relationships with journalists, media outlets, and PR agencies to proactively identify opportunities for favorable coverage of Bjak’s products and growth milestones.
  • Develop all key external communications assets, including press releases, media kits, executive talking points, and briefing materials, ensuring high-quality and consistent narrative delivery.
  • Manage corporate reputation and crisis communications, proactively anticipating public perception issues and rapidly developing strategic responses to safeguard Bjak’s brand integrity and stakeholder trust.
  • Oversee and execute internal communications (newsletters, memos, company-wide announcements) to align staff activities with organizational goals and foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Drive the communication strategy for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and social participation initiatives, enhancing the perception of Bjak’s role in the community.
The right fit has:
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or External Affairs, preferably within the Fintech, Tech, or Financial Services industries.
  • Proven track record of success in proactively securing high-impact media coverage and managing relationships with top-tier business and trade journalists across the ASEAN region.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing crisis communication plans and managing media responses during high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business and technical information into clear, compelling public narratives.
  • Experience serving as a company spokesperson or successfully preparing executives and subject matter experts for high-stakes media interviews and public appearances.
  • Strong understanding of internal communications best practices and the use of digital channels (intranet, internal apps) to drive employee engagement and alignment.
Why Join BJAK:
  • Lead communications for one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital platforms.
  • Directly influence BJAK’s brand, reputation, and narrative across the region.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership on high-impact initiatives.
  • Be part of a dynamic, ambitious, and innovative team shaping the future of financial access
  • Competitive compensation, hybrid work arrangement, and opportunities to scale your impact regionally.
