Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Power Systems Consultant in Malaysia to drive power system analysis, grid interconnection studies, and HVDC/FACTS applications. You will work with customers to develop tailored solutions and guide projects from concept to execution.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience, strong technical background in transmission planning, and collaboration with ISO/TSO/utility stakeholders in a multinational Grid Technologies team.

Qualifications

• Fulfilling power system analysis in steady and transient states.
• Expert knowledge in transmission planning and operating studies.
• Experience with ISO/TSO stakeholders and grid codes.
• Advanced HVDC and FACTS applications knowledge.
• Proficiency with power system simulation tools listed.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements from start to finish with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze transmission and network studies for large generation, storage, and loads.
• Support integration of power electronics, renewables, HVDCs into AC grids.
• Analyze high-frequency phenomena like harmonic distortion and inrush currents.
