THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior System Validation Engineer to lead a newly formed team responsible for platform validation of sustaining products, including CPUs and APUs. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of AMD’s products throughout their lifecycle. As the leader of this team, you will drive validation execution, mentor engineers, and collaborate across multiple teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of validation engineers focused on sustaining product validation for AMD Client platforms.
  • Sustaining Product Ownership: Drive validation efforts for sustaining products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and addressing customer feedback.
  • Debugging and Issue Resolution: Lead efforts to identify, debug, and resolve system-level issues, collaborating with CE, debug, design, firmware, and software teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PM, Validation leader, multiple functional leaders, design, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of AMD platforms.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed validation plans, test procedures, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve validation processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • 8+ years of industry experience in system or post-silicon validation of complex PC/SoC products.
  • Strong technical background in PC systems
  • Familiar with Windows and Linux environment.
  • Strong understanding of CPU and APU architecture and their interaction with hardware and software systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with debugging tools such as Win‑debug, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as PCIe, USB, DDR, and Ethernet.
  • Ability to mentor and guide engineers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage cross‑functional collaboration effectively.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • B.Sc. Or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
