Overview
As a Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the network, server, and cloud systems that support the organization’s critical operations. This role demands a strong focus on security compliance (especially PCI DSS), high availability, and 24/7 reliability, including standby/on-call support.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain server/network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, hypervisors, backup systems).
- Administer Windows and Linux servers for optimal performance.
- Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other security standards.
- Provide 24/7 technical support and participate in standby/on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align IT systems with business needs.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Deliver managed IT services with proactive monitoring and support.
- Execute Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery processes.
- Analyze service performance data and recommend improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in network infrastructure, server administration, and system maintenance.
- Deep understanding of PCI DSS, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation.
- In-depth knowledge of hypervisors (e.g., Nutanix Prism, VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for on-call/shift work to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with server and network hardware setup and maintenance.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for cryptographic key management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development, security, and other IT teams.
