Job description
Purpose of the Role

To assist in managing all aspects of oil palm plantation operations, ensuring effective implementation of best agricultural practices, smooth administration, cost control, and workforce efficiency in line with company standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the estate
  • Assist the Plantation Manager in planning and executing all estate operations.
  • Support the Plantation Manager in maintaining smooth administration in line with company procedures and requirements.
  • Implement and maintain good agricultural practices (GAP).
  • Lead, manage, and motivate staff and workers to achieve productivity and quality targets.
  • Assist in cost budgeting, control, and monitoring of operational expenses.
  • Promote modernization and improvement of estate work practices, including awareness and compliance with MSPO standards.
  • Oversee all key plantation activities, including harvesting, maintenance, manuring, and quality control.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effective management of workers.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and maintain accurate records as required by the Plantation Manager and management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Plantation Manager or management from time to time.
Education and Skill Levels

Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Agricultural Science, Engineering, or related fields within the palm oil industry.

Experience: More than 5 years of working experience in the oil palm industry.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong knowledge of current oil palm industry practices.

Good leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.

Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with estate management systems is an advantage.

Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Willing to work and reside in an estate environment.
