Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager to oversee total production operations. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with quality standards such as ISO9001 and managing the shop floor to maintain staff discipline. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and planning skills, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, and have the ability to motivate subordinates. Proficiency in English and Chinese is essential. This role aims to optimize production efficiency while achieving cost-saving targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage total production operations and provide technical support.

• Maintain workplace 5S standards and ensure a clean environment.
• Manage and ensure shipment quantities are met.
• Implement preventative maintenance for equipment.
• Optimize yield, output, quality, and delivery with minimized costs.

Job description

Manage the total production operations and provide technical support to Plant A&C.

Production system is in compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO14001 and 14Qs basics.

Products conform to customer's quality standard and requirement.

Shop floor management to monitor the staffs discipline and work standardization with the aid of layer process audit.

Ensure good workplace 5S, organized, safe, neat and clean.

To manage and ensure shipment quantity is met.

All production WIs, set-up checklists and all the required/displayed production forms (Daily KPI, OEE, OPL etc) available and updated.

Preventative maintenance for machines, tools , production equipments that affect product quality are implemented per planned schedule.

Responsible for yield, output, OEE, quality, delivery with optimized cost.

To carry out task as per assign by superior as when required.

To assign tasks to subordinates based on job requirement.

To discipline subordinates according to company's rules & regulation.

Keep Optimize yield/labor/CT/U% for each of the project.

Strong sense on cost saving and drive team to achieve cost saving target.

To decide and approve Repair & Maintenance.

Identify EHS risk in workshop and improve it accordingly.

Requirements:
