About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our Pea Protein Plant. This role is critical in ensuring financial health, operational efficiency, and compliance across plant operations while maintaining strong communication with joint venture partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for plant operations.
- Oversee asset capitalization, fixed asset management, and related accounting policies.
- Monitor production costs, inventory, and raw material usage, ensuring compliance with asset capitalization standards.
- Implement ERP modules for procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and finance, aligning with corporate practices.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including asset capitalization and reconciliations.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard plant assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Facilitate effective communication with joint venture partners on financial and operational performance.
- Collaborate with plant managers and cross‑functional teams to gather accurate operational data.
- Assist in managing relationships with banks and financial institutions, including credit lines and facilities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Lead evaluation and approval of capital expenditure proposals and oversee asset onboarding.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
- Contribute to risk management and internal control frameworks across plant functions.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years’ experience in plant finance, preferably in manufacturing, asset management, or cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; professional qualification (CA/CPA) preferred.
- Proficiency with financial systems, ERP software, and asset management tools.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams and international partners.
- Joint venture experience preferred.
- Fluency in English; Japanese language skills advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to a multicultural, fast‑paced environment and support various financial and operational initiatives.
