A palm oil industry leader in Malaysia is seeking a Plant Engineer for their biogas facility in Simpang Renggam, Johor. The candidate will oversee daily operations and maintenance, supervise a team, and ensure efficiency and compliance. Job description

PLANT ENGINEER (BIOGAS PLANT) - TO BE BASED IN SIMPANG RENGGAM, JOHOR

Organize the daily operations, maintenance and servicing of the biogas plant & equipment.

Oversee employees, gas production, quality and efficiency to make sure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely.

Supervises team of operators and ensures personnel training is on track with required training and skill levels.

Manage parts and supply inventories for the plant.

Review performance report and report to Manager-Renewable Energy & Senior Manager on the corrective actions taken.

Stay up to date with latest technologies, best practices and concepts.

Ensure authority compliance for the plant.

Other duties as and when is required by the management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical) or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.

1 – 2 years of working experience in biogas industry, power industry, palm oil mill, power generation or related field will be an advantage.

Being self-disciplined, quick learner and motivation to learn.

Experience in OSH management system is preferable.

Hands on experience / troubleshooting in electrical, control and/or mechanical maintenance works will be an advantage.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Candidates with Certified Person in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) or have experience in scheduled waste management will be an added advantage.

Work location is at Simpang Renggam, Johor.
