Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is seeking candidates for a role focused on production planning and materials management in Batu Gajah, Malaysia. Responsibilities include production planning with APS, timely order confirmation, and coordinating just-in-time deliveries. Candidates will also work closely with customer service and production teams to manage inquiries, materials availability, and ensure demand capacity is met. Strong planning and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Production planning and loading using ISCALA/Advance Planning System (APS).
• Raw Materials planning & forecasting.
• Sales Order Processing.
• Timely order confirmation to customer.
• Update Purchasing on changes/cancellations/postponements.
• Ensure that purchase of RM3 and RM4 items is not excessive.
• Coordinate Just-In-Time delivery for cartons with suppliers.
• Plan and generate purchase requisition for RM3 and RM4 materials.
• Ensure capacity to meet demand by coordinating with CSG/production.
• Liaise with Customer Service and production team on inquiries and orders.

Key Responsibilities include

General

• Production planning and loading using ISCALA/ Advance Planning System (APS)
• Raw Materials planning & Forecasting
• Sales Order Processing

Confirming Order

• Timely order confirmation to customer and meeting the CRD

Materials Management

• To update Purchasing of any changes/cancellation/postponement and/or anticipated changes/cancellation/postponement of purchase due to cancellation of confirmed customer's order.
• To ensure that purchase of RM3 and RM 4 items category are not excessive, with exception of those with MOQ.
• To update or provide information especially changes of delivery quantity, postponement of delivery dates by suppliers to production and Customer Service.
• To co-ordinate "just-In-Time" delivery for cartons directly with supplier and to work closely with Production to avoid over-stock.
• To plan and generate purchase requisition for RM3 and RM4 materials for further processing

Capacity Planning

• Ensuring capacity to meet demand by co-ordinating with CSG/production on inquiries, orders and production scheduling.
• To ensure that CRD is fulfilled

Other Consideration includes

To liaise with Customer Service and production team on the following:-

• Inquiries, orders, forecast and project.
• Reporting and Updated
• Materials Lead time
• Raw Materials availability
