A prominent manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Planner (Production/Material) to ensure efficient production operations. This role involves maintaining materials data, preparing production plans, and monitoring stock levels. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Planner (Production/Material) located in Prai, Penang.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining materials and purchasing data, providing supply data and information to production departments, coordinating contracts, managing Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and creating as well as maintaining schedules for outsourced parts.
Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment etc.), confirmation of the order.
Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group.
Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations
Preparation of long term plans, forecasts (MPS, Forecast)
Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data /Non-consumed demand, planned WO’s.
Preparing of Clean to build reports, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.
Monitoring of stock level, handling of stock differences
Preparing management and CFT specified reports, monitoring of KPI’s /
Giving assistance, replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs. May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling.
Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
