UCT is looking for a talented Planner III to join us in Malaysia!

The Planner III drives production efficiency by managing material planning for complex projects involving 500–1000 items. This role ensures timely material availability, coordinates cross‑functional teams, and maintains data accuracy in planning systems. Responsibilities include identifying bottlenecks, executing purchase plans, supporting quality resolution, and generating reports to support decision-making and customer commitments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Parts maintenance checking before project kick‑off
  • Manage 500‑1000 items per project
  • Plan & schedule material availability to drive production to meet customers' delivery commitments
  • Co‑ordinate with other departments including Buyer, Operations, Programme and Warehouse for on‑time delivery
  • Systems data maintenance and integrity – key in purchase parts and fabrication parts correctly
  • Identify possible production bottlenecks and develop contingency plans
  • Work with existing vendors on the completion of new revision material or temporary change order
  • Review, monitor and translate forecast into material plan and pull in & out with suppliers accordingly
  • Execute materials planning and purchase for production fulfillment
  • Review report daily with purchasing department
  • Coordinate with quality engineers on any non‑conforming materials
  • Ensure on‑time delivery of materials from suppliers
  • Attend production meetings and other communication sessions for updates and coordination
  • Generate management reports and other activities as assigned by superior
Educational / Certification Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science / Mathematics / Materials / Industrial Engineering
  • Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Industrial Systems Engineering
Experience Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science / Mathematics / Materials / Industrial Engineering – at least 5 years of working experience
  • Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Industrial Systems Engineering – at least 8 years of working experience
  • Preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • No fear of paperwork and system updates
