Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing, compounding, and inventory control to ensure safe, efficient pharmaceutical service. You will process prescriptions, verify accuracy, and assist with stock management under pharmacist supervision.

The role requires a Diploma in Pharmacy, hospital training, fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

Diploma in Pharmacy with evidence of hospital-based training during undergraduate studies.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient in common computer applications and able to use hospital billing/e-record systems.
Ability to check and detect errors during dispensing of medications.
Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Flexible to work weekends and public holidays; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Screen, check, and process prescriptions for completeness, legality, and accuracy.
Dispense medications with proper usage instructions under pharmacist supervision.
Prepare, compound, and process pharmaceutical preparations as needed.
Repack, label, and ensure proper packaging and traceability of medications.
Maintain inventory, stock levels, and assist with stock-taking and reconciliation.
Collaborate with pharmacists, doctors and nursing staff to support patient care.
