Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company located in Malaysia is seeking a qualified production planner and supervisor. The ideal candidate will manage compounding activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee personnel training. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. The role emphasizes safety, quality assurance, and efficient reporting. Job description

1. Production Planning and Execution - Participate in planning, scheduling, and organizing compounding and dispensing activities while supporting daily to monthly production plans. Assist with pilot-scale trials for new products and recommend improvements to formulations, methods, and workflow efficiency.

2. Order Processing, Prescription Management & Documentation Endorsement - Review prescriptions, manage the compounding process, and ensure accurate labeling and compliance. Communicate with prescribers and clients to clarify orders and resolve inquiries or issues.

3. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance - Ensure full compliance with all laws, regulations, GMP standards, and SOPs governing compounding operations, including accurate and up-to-date regulatory documentation. Maintain legally compliant records, conduct internal audits, and implement updates or corrective actions to ensure continuous regulatory readiness.

4. Materials and Inventory Management -Conduct audits to maintain compliance, manage inventory of all substances and materials, and coordinate with procurement and suppliers for stock control and defect resolution.

5. Equipment and Facility Maintenance - Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated, oversee cleanliness of compounding areas, and coordinate timely repairs.

6. Personnel Supervision and Training - Supervise and guide operations and lab staff, provide training and competency assessments, and ensure adherence to discipline, ethics, and safety.

7. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) - Ensure staff wear proper PPE, monitor adherence to safety procedures, and report hazards while supporting root cause analysis and CAPA actions.

8. Reporting and Documentation - Prepare and submit production reports with key KPIs, incidents, and resource usage, and maintain full traceability and audit-ready records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in compounding or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
