Overview
To promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance life insurance products to the Bank’s existing and potential customers.
Responsibilities
- To provide professional advice and recommend financial products based on customer need.
- To ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent after‑sales service.
- To plan and implement sales activities related to Bancassurance products.
- To act promptly on all leads and follow‑up activities.
- To acquire good knowledge of Bancassurance products available in the market.
- To achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the achievement of the branch target.
- Manage sales pipeline by participating in sales management routines.
- Keep abreast with accurate and updated information on products, services etc.
- Participate in CPD activities to increase knowledge and skills.
- Update branch managers on status of activities and any issues when necessary.
- To actively market and sell Sunlife products to all customers.
- Actively involved in cross‑product sales activities to ensure optimal customer reach, product exposure and effective operations that optimize delivery.
- Ensuring success of all relevant sales campaigns.
- Handles customer inquiries diligently, resolve or escalate necessary issues.
Customer Referencing & Complaint Handling
- Refer customers to the relevant officer/sales person for other products and services.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalation to the respective parties where necessary.
- Develop and build long‑term business relationships with customers.
Team Collaboration and Professional Image
- Encourage and promote teamwork within the branch sales team by providing assistance (e.g., training, knowledge sharing, covering of duties) to sales team members where necessary.
- Identify and share new ideas and approaches for increasing sales and maximizing customer experiences.
- Maintain a conducive and professional working relationship within the sales team.
- Project a professional business image at all times through high standards of housekeeping and personal grooming.
- Undertake special assignments ad‑hoc functions as required.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Comply strictly with CIMB Bank's policies and procedures, including credit control procedures, audit compliance and BNM guidelines.
- Comply with the Code of Sales Ethics and Governance.
- Respond to compliance inquiries from vertical lines (BM, RD, Head of DC) and horizontal lines (Segment Manager and Sales Segment Support Lead).
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer's documents and information for sales execution and submission.
- Perform housekeeping on business documentation efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
- Submit necessary documents to the relevant parties and follow up in a timely manner.
Product Knowledge
Actively market and sell all core consumer products, primarily to branch walk‑in customers, executing a consultative selling process involving identifying and recommending CIMB products to meet customers' financial needs.
