Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head, Performance Marketing plays a commercial and strategic role to take charge of our team expansion for Regional and local accounts. This is a hybrid role, requiring both business development leadership and subject matter expertise in performance marketing (across both Paid Media, SEO, Content, UX, Data & Analytics).
This individual could come from a Director of Digital, Performance, or Growth background – provided they have the credibility to advise clients, the hunger to build business, and the experience managing and motivating teams. While driving revenue will be a priority, we are equally interested in individuals who can lead market development, supporting the team with technical issues, collaborate across teams and stakeholders to represent NP Digital as a thought leader MY market.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Market Leadership: Help shape and lead the expansion of NPD Malaysia, developing both client relationships and internal capabilities
Sales & Growth: Drive new business revenue via inbound, outbound, and partnership channels – building on digital commercial revenue working closely with Group Account Director
Performance Marketing Expertise: Act as a strategic advisor to prospective clients on SEO, Paid Media, Content, and broader performance strategy. Be hands‑on where necessary
Client Solutions & Pitching: Build proposals, commercial models, and SOWs. Own and lead the pitch process from strategy through to close
Team Building: Hire (only whenever there’s a need), lead, and mentor a mid to lower level but high‑performing team over time. Create a culture of performance, collaboration, and growth
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with across MY, SG (possibly HK & TW market) and global colleagues in client services, delivery, and operations to ensure high‑quality outcomes
Market Intelligence: Provide insights and feedback on client needs, local competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to guide strategic planning
Min 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with deep knowledge of SEO and Paid Media (preferably agency‑side)
Proven track record in sales, growth, or senior client service roles
Experience leading teams and managing or influencing P&L or revenue targets
Confident communicator in English – comfortable presenting to C‑Suite and marketing stakeholders
Ability to wear multiple hats in a fast‑growth environment – entrepreneurial mindset is a must
Familiarity with tools such as GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Meta/Google Ads platforms
Prior experience with international collaboration a plus
