Job summary

A leading healthcare company in Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Finance or Accounting and have 3-4 years of relevant experience, alongside strong communication skills in English and Japanese. The Position

  • Co-ordinate and execute month end, quarter end and year end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with work instructions and month end close checklist
  • Preparation of accounting journals and ensure it is prepared accurately and posted timely
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation, highlight and rectify any anomalies encountered, including clearing of open items
  • Submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting packages accurately and within specified timescale (eg: FinCo, Sustainability, Insurance, etc)
  • Support internal and external audit matters by ensuring timely submission of required audit schedules and providing financial supporting documents and information to auditors
  • Support tax matters by preparing tax schedules, providing financial supporting documents and information to tax consultant
  • Ensure all work documentation and work processes are updated and meet with InternalControl Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies and guidelines, local statutory and legal requirements within agreed service timelines
  • Perform back up function and other duties, including job rotation to other functional teams as and when required. Engage and support the teams in the implementation of continuous improvement project
  • Proactively identify, recommend and implement solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation

Who You Are

  • Degree in Finance & Accounting/Commerce or Equivalent graduate with minimum 3 to 4 years working experiences in the related field
  • Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively in English and Japanese
  • SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems and MS
  • External experience in a shared service or business process outsourcing engagement will be preferable
