Job summary

Micron Technology in Malaysia is seeking a Product Owner to lead NPI initiatives and oversee the product lifecycle from concept to end of life. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing and planning to ensure successful startup, qualification and scalable production.

The role emphasizes data analysis, JMP proficiency, and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical deliverables while leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Material, Chemical, Electrical).
• Willingness to learn backend engineering or package development.
• Interest in component test and/or module manufacturing processes.
• Understand semiconductor package structures and reliability concepts.
• Strong data analysis and JMP proficiency.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage NPI activities as Product Owner with cross-functional teams.
• Drive New Product Introduction process through NPI Phase Gate Review.
• Coordinate new product startup and achieve first-pass qualification.
• Understand startup datelines, product applications and customer requirements; inform the team.
• Collaborate with process/equipment/manufacturing/planning to bring new product to volume production.
• Provide timely support of First silicon, engineering samples, and qualification samples; meet PDT cycle times.
• Monitor yield trends and reliability to ensure assembly is in control.
• Own the entire Product Life Cycle from NPI to EOL.
• Collaborate to develop new technology capabilities ahead of market.
• Act as a point of contact to TPM on product matters.

Key responsibilities and task:-

• To lead and manage the NPI activities as a Product Owner, working together with cross functional teams to accomplish organizational and business objectives by:
• Driving New Product Introduction process through NPI Phase Gate Review.

• Working with process / equipment / manufacturing / planning area owners to bring new product and package into volume production;
• Providing timely support of First silicon, Engineering samples, Qual samples and meeting expectation on Engineering Hot lots cycle time as per PDT schedule.
• Regular monitoring theproduct yield trend; QDR and reliability to ensure that assembly operation is in control and initiate early attentionif necessary;
• Owning the entire Product Life Cycle, from NPI to EOL.
• Understanding new product challenges and collaboratewith Process / Equipment/Development owners to develop new technology capabilities ahead of market
• Acting as a point of contact to TPM on product related matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering (Mechanical, Material, Chemical, Electrical ).
• Passionate in backend engineering process or package development.
• Eager to learn technical knowledge in component test and/or module manufacturing process.
• Understand semiconductor package structures and package reliability concepts.
• Excellent data analysis, statistical analysis, data interpretation skills. Proficient in JMP analysis is a must.
• Ability to learn make sound data-driven decisions. Prioritize and apply due-diligence in day to day task.
• Use AI assisted tool (e.g. copilot, as a productivity multiplier , not just a tool (e.g., faster root cause screening, smarter DOE design, automated reporting)
