About the Role
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Malaysia’s premier transshipment hub, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrator, Payroll to join our Human Capital Management Division under the Compensation & Benefits Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process monthly payroll and other related payment activities accurately and within deadlines.
- Update, verify, and maintain employee payroll data, including overtime, allowances, and deductions.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports and other statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Administer all payroll-related transactions, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal regulations.
- Maintain employee records and ensure information integrity in HR and payroll systems.
- Prepare and issue letters or correspondence related to payroll, as requested by employees.
- Handle insurance and SOCSO claims and coordinate with relevant agencies as required.
- Support audits, government reporting, and financial reconciliations related to payroll.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the superior to support the department’s goals and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of statutory regulations, including LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and Employment Act.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with HR/payroll systems.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Generalist knowledge of Human Resources Management, Employment Law, and Industrial Relations.
- Experience in payroll process improvement or digital payroll platforms is an advantages.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
