Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and friendly, approachable manner.
• Attention to detail and the ability to keep the store environment neat and organised.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining consistent attendance during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with handling cash and operating till systems.
• Physical capability to lift and carry stock, stand for extended periods and move around the store.
• A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing store needs and seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, professional assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Operating the till accurately and processing transactions efficiently, including cash handling and card payments
• Restocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure items are clearly visible, well-organised and appealingly presented
• Keeping the store clean, tidy and organised, including sweeping, tidying aisles and maintaining stockroom areas
• Assisting customers in locating products and providing information about items, pricing and promotions
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally and escalating issues to management when necessary
• Monitoring stock levels and alerting management to items requiring replenishment
• Supporting health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe shopping environment for all customers and staff
• Participating in promotional activities and assisting with store events as required
