About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Preschool Tutor to join our education team based in Penang Island, Penang. Working on a part-time basis, you will have the flexibility to deliver high-quality tuition whilst maintaining other commitments. This role is instrumental in supporting students to achieve their academic goals and develop a deeper understanding of their chosen subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective tuition sessions to secondary-level students, tailored to their individual learning needs and academic objectives
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards and student requirements
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help learners improve their understanding and performance
• Identify areas where students require additional support and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Communicate regularly with students and parents or guardians regarding academic progress and areas for development
• Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence

What we're looking for

• Have any experience in teaching or tutoring preschool children
• Passionate, patient and caring when working with preschool children
• Able to plan and conduct fun, engaging and age-appropriate learning activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents
• Responsible, punctual and committed to providing quality education
• Able to work independently while also collaborating well with a small team
• Must own a car and have a valid driving licence (required for travelling to students' homes)
• Must be based on Penang Island or willing to travel within Penang Island
• Available to work on weekends (weekday availability is a bonus and can be discussed)
• Comfortable conducting one-to-one home tuition at students' homes
• Fresh graduates with relevant Early Childhood Education qualifications are welcome to apply (teaching experience is an advantage)
