Job summary

Kapitan Tandoori House – Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah is seeking a cashier with strong customer service and basic math skills to manage payments and assist customers at the front end of the store.

The ideal candidate can operate a POS system, maintain accuracy in cash handling, and work well independently or in a team while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Basic mathematics and cash-handling skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to operate a POS/cash register system.
• Honest, responsible, and attentive to detail.
• Friendly and customer-oriented.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Basic computer skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and providing friendly service.
• Processing cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Operating the cash register/POS system.
• Issuing receipts and handling refunds or exchanges.
• Counting and balancing cash at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Checking prices, discounts, and promotions.
• Assisting customers with basic product or store enquiries.
• Keeping the checkout area clean and organized.
• Monitoring and reporting any cash discrepancies.
• Following company policies and procedures.
• Assisting with stocking or other store duties when required.
• Maintaining good customer service and handling complaints professionally.
