Job summary

Howden Specialty invites undergraduates to join its Internship Programme in Kuala Lumpur, offering hands-on exposure to the insurance broking industry and practical skills in client management, claims administration, research, and data management.

You'll work with brokers on client needs, renewals, data analysis, and market intelligence while gaining mentorship from seasoned professionals. The program provides a monthly allowance and time-off during the internship period.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Internship duration 3–6 months, subject to university requirements.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist brokers in managing clients' insurance requirements, policy renewals, and claims administration.
• Support research activities, data collection, and market analysis.
• Prepare business presentations, proposals, and market intelligence reports.
• Maintain and update client information and records within internal databases.
• Organise and manage both physical and electronic filing systems.
• Prepare and coordinate courier deliveries for clients and insurance carriers.
• Participate in special projects, corporate assignments and other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
