A leading fintech company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Specialist (Senior/Team Lead) to oversee the client lifecycle from onboarding to transactions. The position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in English and Chinese, and a background in operations within finance. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Specialist (Senior/Team Lead) to manage the full client lifecycle from onboarding and account setup to funding and transactions. You will ensure accuracy, system efficiency and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical and a strong communicator who enjoys working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Manage end-to-end client onboarding, account setup, maintenance and funding processes.
Process deposits, withdrawals and internal transfers accurately and on time.
Perform client verification and KYC checks to ensure compliance and timely account activation.
Set up and support Introducing Broker (IB) and partner accounts with accuracy and responsiveness.
Collaborate with Customer Support, Compliance, Finance and IT teams to resolve account or transaction issues.
Update and maintain payment and account systems to ensure smooth operations and data accuracy.
Monitor financial transactions for proper workflow, approval and AML compliance.
Prepare and review reconciliation reports to ensure records match partner and payment system data.
Assist in developing SOPs and performing UAT testing for new tools or system updates.
Handle other operational duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in operations, payments, or onboarding within fintech or financial services.
Good understanding of financial products, trading platforms, and client lifecycle processes.
Excellent English and Chinese communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with CRM, KYC or payment systems is an advantage.
A team player who is adaptable and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Willing to work on 3-rotation-shifts with flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when needed.
