Overview

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor all personnel and activities across the production floor, ensuring manufacturing targets are met efficiently and on time.
  • Production & Planning: Oversee daily production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize output and minimize downtime.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols; drive initiatives to maintain and improve product quality and foster a safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and control costs.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage raw material planning, inventory, and the timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Budgeting & Reporting: Manage the operational budget, monitor KPIs, and provide regular, data-driven reports to senior management on site performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operational activities and products comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, IATF) and regulatory requirements.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience in metal stamping, mechanical assembly, EMS, contract manufacturing, or industrial machinery manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin as this role requires to serve a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
