Job summary

Solarvest seeks an experienced Operations professional to supervise rooftop solar maintenance, plan schedules, and ensure timely, high-quality execution across installations. You will coordinate with Customer Service, prepare technical reports, and manage parts inventory in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of rooftop PV systems, hands-on supervision skills, and a commitment to ISO-based QSHE standards and SOPs. Based in Selangor, Petaling Jaya area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical installations or maintenance of solar PV projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, design, components, troubleshooting, and safety standards.
• Ability to prepare preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and oversee field service teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication to coordinate with internal stakeholders and document maintenance results.
• Proven capability to lead technicians and assistant engineers in daily operations.
• Ability to evaluate issues on-site with proper escalation when required.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and safety standards.
• Commitment to following SOPs, MOS, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all rooftop solar maintenance activities in line with contractual scope of work and SLA; submit proposed schedules to Customer Service for coordination.
• Supervise technicians and verify work completeness and conformance to SOPs for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Communicate maintenance outcomes to Customer Service to support timely client updates.
• Prepare and review technical reports for client requests, warranty claims, and insurance claims.
• Track and ensure warranty claims are completed; follow up with vendors or suppliers and propose improvements.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment for the assigned team.
• Ensure service ticket tracking, follow-up, and closure within agreed SLA response time.
• Process quotations and invoices for vendors and subcontractors in accordance with workflows.
• Ensure QSHE compliance per ISO standards and regulatory best practices.

• Ensure effective and timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance by supervising technicians and verifying work completeness and conformance to SOPs
• Communicate maintenance outcomes to Customer Service to support timely client updates
• Prepare and review technical reports for various needs including client requests, warranty claims, and insurance claims
• Track and ensure warranty claims are completed; follow up with vendors or suppliers and propose improvements based on the outcomes of approved or rejected claims
• Manage, maintain, and sustain adequate inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment for the assigned team
• Ensure service ticket tracking, follow-up, and closure within agreed SLA response time
• Process quotations and invoices for vendors and subcontractors in accordance with established workflows
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) standards in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and regulatory best practices

Department Support Roles

• Provide technical and non-technical support for internal process improvements such as training module development, standard MOS creation, and SOP updates
• Gather feedback and evidence of design failures, installation quality issues, or material defects, and escal tion with recommendations to the Division Lead or Manager
• Support internal programs by HR, QSHE, and other departments to promote teamwork, safety culture, and continuous improvement
• Support other regional or utility O&M teams when required, especially during resource constraints or emergency support needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines
• Experience in electrical installations or maintenance of solar PV projects will be an added advantage
• Strong understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, including design, components, troubleshooting, and compliance with performance and safety standards
• Ability to prepare preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, oversee field service teams, and ensure timely, quality execution aligned with SLAs
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and document maintenance results through accurate technical reports
• Proven capability to lead and guide technicians and assistant engineers in daily operations, training, and field discipline
• Ability to evaluate issues on-site and make appropriate technical and operational decisions with sound judgment and proper escalation when required
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and adherence to regulatory and internal safety standards
