Job summary

Celestica Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 to join the ENG - Engineering team in Asia. The role involves analyzing schematics, troubleshooting, and supporting product verification in a manufacturing setting.

You will work under supervision with experienced engineers, performing maintenance, tests, and assembly tasks on prototypes and production equipment. A related diploma and hands-on problem solving are required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading schematics and circuit descriptions.
• Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment.
• Familiarity with C++ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reads and analyzes schematics and circuit descriptions.
• Troubleshoots and repairs failed products.
• Inspects for physical and visual quality; replaces faulty components.
• Sets up, operates, and adjusts test equipment.
• Proves tests and test sets.
• Troubleshoots and repairs test equipment/fixture problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on electromechanical assembly equipment.
• Reads Bills of Materials and understands Engineering Change Orders.
• With guidance from senior engineers, performs complex testing and design verification.
• Assembles and tests product prototypes and related assemblies.
