Job summary

A marine operations company in Malaysia is seeking candidates for a position that requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a preference for those having at least 2-3 years of experience in the marine operations industry. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders and conducting routine vessel duties for inspections. The compensation ranges from $3000 to $4000 monthly, with a regular 5-day work week from Monday to Friday.

Job description
Education
  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Technical Proficiency
  • Strong knowledge and competency in computer applications (PC Literate), especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in the Marine operations industry is highly advantageous.
  • Prior experience in liaising and handling administrative/operational matters with MPA and PSA.
  • Familiarity with the registration, permitting, and licensing processes for vessels, tugboats, and crane barges in Singapore.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive, able to work independently, and possesses good problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be willing to perform routine onboard/onsite vessel duties for surveys and inspections.
Compensation
  • $3000 - $4000 / month
Working Hours
  • 5 days’ work week. Mondays to Fridays: 8:30am to 5.30pm
Transport
  • Company bus departing near Clementi MRT station at 8:10am to bring staff to our office and a return company bus trip back to Clementi in the evening.
