Operations and truck arrangements planner

Truck Planner's job is to optimize transportation by planning efficient routes, scheduling deliveries, coordinating drivers, and maximizing truck capacity to ensure timely, cost-effective distribution while monitoring performance metrics like fuel use and utilization. They act as a central point, managing logistics from order to delivery, overseeing truck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Route & Load Optimization: Plan the most efficient delivery routes, maximizing space in each truck (loadability) and selecting the right vehicle type.

Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule pickups, deliveries, driver shifts, and truck assignments to meet customer demands and deadlines.

Performance Monitoring: Track truck utilization, fuel efficiency, delivery timeliness, and overall transport performance.

Driver Management: Coordinate with drivers, assign tasks, and ensure clear communication.

Problem Solving: Anticipate potential issues (traffic, breakdowns) and develop contingency plans.
